Our AHP Spotlight of the Quarter is Liana Gevorkian, AGACNP-BC, MSN, RN, PHN!West Coast University - BSN

Liana Gevorkian is a nurse practitioner at Adventist Health Glendale and has been with Benchmark since February of this year. She loved her work as an RN and having the privilege of healing her patients but pursued a higher level of care as an NP, where she says there is a greater capacity for impact on patient’s care.
As a hospitalist NP, Liana helps heal sick patients with multiple comorbidities on an acute level. "It is fulfilling to me to care for patients when they need you the most," she says. Her favorite aspect of the job is aiding patients to progress and recover, seeing them excited about their recovery, and hearing of their eagerness to be discharged and be back home as a healthier person.
Liana enjoys staying active by taking walks, hiking, and eating balanced meals. She loves culinary arts from cooking to baking, especially creating her own recipes, and sharing them with others. Liana also spends time feeding and rehabilitating wild animals that are frequent flyers around her neighborhood. When asked of what motivates her, she quoted Lewis Carroll: “one of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others."
